As summer winds down, it’s time to gear up for another exciting school year in the Eau Claire Area School District (ECASD). Whether your child is stepping into a classroom for the first time or returning for another year of learning and growth, here’s everything you need to get ready- brought to you by the team  at Villa Diann.

Close to Every School You Need

Living at Villa Diann means your kids are close to school. Locust Lane Elementary School is just 1.6 miles away (about 6 minutes), North Star Middle School is 2.4 miles away (about 6 minutes), and Eau Claire North High School is 3.3 miles away (about 7 minutes). ECASD provides dedicated school bus pickup right here at Villa Diann for all three schools.

That short commute comes in handy once the school-year routine kicks in. Woodman’s Food Market is about 3.1 miles away for grocery and lunch-packing runs, and Oakwood Mall — 5.7 miles south — is an easy stop for new school clothes, shoes, or a last-minute backpack before the first day.

Important Dates to Remember

School Start Date:

• Eau Claire Area School District: Classes begin Tuesday, September 1, 2026 — the same day as the Altoona School District this year. Confirmed directly from ECASD’s official, board-approved 2026-2027 calendar.

A Quick Heads-Up on Enrollment

ECASD is switching student information systems this summer. Enrollment is temporarily paused from June 17 through July 15, 2026 while the district migrates from Skyward to Infinite Campus. If you need to enroll a new student during this window, fill out ECASD’s Enrollment Inquiry form so the district can notify you the moment enrollment reopens. Already-enrolled and returning families are not affected.

• Eau Claire Area School District: Elementary, Middle, and High School dates/times had not yet been released as of this writing. We’ll update this section as soon as ECASD announces them.

Registration Dates and Information:

• New Student Registration: Reopens July 15, 2026 after the Infinite Campus migration. Sign up for a notification here, or email enrollment@ecasd.us with questions. The Enrollment Office (500 Main St, Room 136) keeps summer hours Monday–Thursday, 7:00 am–5:00 pm, through August 14.
• Returning Student Verification: Sign into your Family Access/Skyward account as usual.

For registration, please bring necessary documents such as proof of residency, birth certificates, immunization records, and previous school records if transferring.

2026-2027 Online Meal Applications

The 2026-27 online application for free or reduced-price meals typically opens in early August — last year’s window opened August 5. Check ECASD’s Food & Nutrition page for this year’s application link once it’s posted.
